Are you saying when you call your dealer they ignore you? Are you dealing with the salesperson or the manager? I don't think that GM needs to babysit the dealers when all you have to do is have a good relationship with the salesperson / manager and NOT expect like they owe you the world.
Remember that the dealers know only has much as GM will tell them. Anything that is asked for nicely should be accomodated without question.
Just remember there are dealers that peruse this forum all the time and the more that evryone is saying that "you're dealer is an idiot" doesn't exactly help the relationship.
I will agree that most of the salespeople probably don't know enough about the ordering process but that's the manager's job to help them along.
