It is very simple if it came with the brackets from gm (three pieces total: gold bowtie, black front bracket which is shaped like a bowtie and the backing plate). The gold bowtie is pushed into the front bracket. If you take a screwdriver or other flat tool you can start to pull the bowtie away from the bracket. Once you get the gold bowtie out you will see two phillips head screws. Unscrew them and the front bracket will release from the backing plate behind the grille. It's a piece of cake.
