The new/updated Rocker arm cover is actually the LS3 cover I believe. There is a different baffle plate inside to help reduce/prevent oil from being sucked into the PCV pipe and into the intake. The is still no TSB on this issue but there is a PI #0104B - Excessive oil consumption........

This could explain why under agressive driving there could be oil being sucked into the pcv pipe and subsequently the intake.
This might be what it is!!! Maybe they didn't think we would down shift the auto like you do in the standerd.
