SLP sells a lot of their parts that go into the ZL585 but not all of them. You could build one that is just as fast but it wouldn't be the complete package. The SLP ZL1 also has lots of unique parts that they won't be selling. The engine/ blower package for one. It really is a special car and it will hold its value better than you putting the same money into a car. They will also likely hold their value because they will be fairly rare. SLP has a history with this type of vehicle. The firehawks and the 97 SS LT4 come to mind. While they may not be Yenko or Baldwin Motion, they have built a name for themselves as a builder who does quality work, and they are continuing to build on that tradition.
