Well, that remains to be seen.
Getting a GT500 to 600-620HP does not require an increase in displacement, just swap from the Eaton to the TVS. I seriously doubt they plan to punch out the 5.4, but I might get surprised.
As for the ZL1, sure, GM could probably get 600HP from the LSA, or a massaged version thereof, but the question is going to be how much more will it cost for them to do so? Getting the number is relatively easy, getting it to the consumer at a price they're willing/able to pay is a whole other matter.
