The only things different between the two are the 4 AFM lifters, and the cam has a smaller duration on the L99. You can keep the VVT but ditch the AFM lifters and use the LS-7 ones. There are several that are doing this for cam changes. Texas Speed and Mast are the top two that I know of. The Mast Track 3 set up is a prime example of this. They replace the AFM lifters and give you there heads, and VVT cam. There package is what Im leaning towards right now myself.
