Man's perspective here albeit not requested. I love golfing, fishing, and the beach, even casino's, but the real priority is always family first. Especially over "FUN" things. These fun things I'm pretty sure appear selfish of you to her because you're trying to justify "fun" things over seeing her grand kids. Your choice of verbiage makes it seem like they aren't your grandkids or you may have chosen the words, "our grandkids". Just because you're ready to move on from retirement doesn't mean she wants to and lose the closeness of being around her grand children even if it means she has to work to do it. Her family is what is motivating her to continue to work so I'm sorry to say, you're probably going to lose this one. I know, you didn't want a man's perspective anyway.
