After a year of anticipation and much planning, we are finally Phoenix bound for the Camaro 5 Fest 2011. When I say we, I mean Camaro owners from all over the United States and Canada. Our initial group of five Camaros, left Fredericksburg, VA yesterday shortly after the sun came up.
Our route so far has taken us down some beautiful country roads through the Sheondah Valley down to I64 and then over to I81 which brought us into Tennessee. From there, we took I40 to Nashville where we spent the evening hanging out with our friends from Canada.
We were forunate not to have any construction or traffic delays, so we made great time and was able to take cover before the hail storm and tornados hit the area.
On the way we enjoyed the scenery, which included many farms, foothills, and blossoming apple trees. Still the best sight is was our small convey winding down the road. It didn’t matter if we were on a small rural road or the interstate; we were turning heads with every vehicle we passed. Especially, the group of kids on the school bus jumping up and down as they saw “bumble bee”.
On top of that, we have enjoyed lots of sunshine and are ready for breaking out our shorts while in Arizona! See you there!

Hey, I'm your photographer on this one! It was a highlight of my trip to Oxford, MS today, seeing you guys driving down I-40 in Tennessee and then speaking with several of you at the rest stop. I presently don't have a Camaro, but I sure have been lusting over getting one! Time will tell!!
Have a safe journey.
