It's not going to happen like this...this is what's up:
Either
A.) GM is tired of hearing us bitch about ABL so they put out a BS announcement just to sit back and laugh at threads like this
or
B.) The ABL on the "doors" is not what everyone is thinking, but a new...different type of light (i.e. illuminating door handle, etc)
Be realistic guys...they aren't going to make the dash strip cloth and have acrylic panels on doors, it makes no sense any way you look at it. First off, the dash would have been priority...second off it would just look silly (and NOTHING like that chopped picture that keeps getting quoted...the blue glow would not "fade" into center like shown because the cloth would not reflect and there would be no glow on top of dash to balance it)
5 years of R&D they aren't going to do that...THINK about it.
