Here is a car show stand I put together for myself and had billyspeed paint. I also did one for him and he painted his to match his car.
I looked around the web and really did not find anything I would buy myself so I decided to make my own.
Picked up most the materials at the local Lowe's store. I had the base material from another project I did.
Top: 16 Gage 12" X 18" and 2- 3/8" X 6" rod
Upright: 1/2" X 1/2" square tube ( 2 x 4'), 1- 6" X 24" 16 Gage
(36" tall 6" Wide)
Base: 1/8" X10" X 24" and 2- 3/8" X 6" rod
Once the welds were cleaned up everything was bead blasted with black magic.
Used 1/4" rubber floor mat on the bottom of base.
Stand is designed into three major sections. The base, upright, and poster frame. Easy to assemble disassemble and put in trunk.
Purchased the poster frame at AC Moore, Poster was printed at a local Copies Plus.
Poster is 12" X 18" and was designed and put together by Jay at
http://www.jerseyautoparts.com/Custo...20Posters.html They are very reasonable and have some great ideas.
You send him your info, logo's, and photo's and he sends you a proof when he is done. If you like it you pay through Pay-Pal and he sends you the file. Price depends on what you have him do. You can see our posters at the link above.
Then take the file to Walmart Walgreen's or wherever?
I have not sat down and figured out exactly what we have in them but I would estimate around $120 less paint. Also keep in mind no labor, it was just a fun project and we now have a one of a kind stand for the local shows.
