Hey there thought I would chime in just a bit. Yea i may be 17 and i have the car pretty well payed by my parents but it isn't something that was just given to me as a birthday gift it was an agreement my family has had set since my sister was in high school (9 years?). They get us a new vehicle for graduation under the conditions we finish college and drive a "junker" to gain experience. (1 year of driving experience is far better then 6 months with a parent) Now i am not gonna say i have done everything right or worked my tail off for it but i intend to pay my parents back for their kindness in allowing me to have a sports car at all.
My opinion is if the kid can turn sixteen and cruise up the next day with an SS their is something a little wrong with that. (Now that probably is contradictory to what i am considered) 6 months behind the wheel with parental vision is different then 1 year of decision making behind the wheel alone! Kids always act a fool when they aren't around their parents but there are the rare few who keep the pride and honesty that they were raised with.
I sure hope I am, Sorry this was a bit of rant.
Thank you, David.
