What say ye to a ECC meet in June in OBA???

Def Leppard and Heart are playing at The Wharf in June 19. Scott@Bjorn3D put a post up in another thread about getting together in OBA and I told him I would feel you guys out. The only kicker is that is a Sunday concert and most folks may have to work on Monday. So what about a Sat/Sun meet with the concert closing it out? We could cruise to Ft. Morgan on the west end of the island (about 50 miles round trip) on Saturday and then over to the Fairhope Pier on Mobile Bay Sunday for a brown bag lunch on the lawn and be back in OBA in time to freshen up and rock out! I've got a favorite watering hole and a place we can all do dinner Saturday night should you choose.

I've checked with my local hotel hook-up at the Island House Hotel (only hotel I use in OBA) and got a group rate of $159 a night (dbl queen beds or one king) including 2 tickets to the concert with a 2 night minimum . I know you say that rate is high, but remember, it is summer time and the rates are usually $199 a night, the hotel is nice (pool/bar/cafe/secure parking) and you are getting to 2 tickets that go for $65 a piece. All we need is a minimum of 6 rooms booked to get this group rate.

Just a thought for a gathering. Yes, no, either way I'm going to the concert!
