It's up to the dealer if they want to honor it or not. My dealer decided not to... now while I was going to buy the car or not over that didn't change my mind, but it will have me re-consider repeat business. I had it priced out online and brought the code with me anyway, no luck.
You're dealer may be telling you they do not have it in the system to save that re-peat business so it doesn't sound like their fault, but in reality, they are just not honoring it.
