GM didn't quite mention it, in fact they typically don't talk about future products. The article (and image) are both by Motor Trend.

You don't know if the Camaro has had a smooth or a rough development and neither do we. Because even though we've been given an unprecedented amount of information regarding the development of the Camaro, it still essentially amounts to nothing and a lot of what we think we know is little more than educated guesses. Some of the 'problems' (like paint delays) exist mainly in our head and are completely normal for regular production cars.
