Orange, I can tell you from the dealers stand point that what ever you bring will have no bearing on this issue. It is really up to the service manager to step up and either replace the trans or have a manual specialist tech go through it. Also, there are 2 large magnets at the bottom of the main case and that will attract any metalic debris floating around.

Thanks Rick. I understand the dealer issue. I use to work for a Chevrolet dealer albeit 30+ years ago. I do think there is merit for any owner to sample their various lubricants throughout the life of a vehicle just to see if there is any premature wear. I once saved a $15,000 diesel engine by detecting premature roller cam/lifter wear by doing a sample. Best $20 investment I ever made. Thanks for all of your technical support here!
