An MOT is not required for the first 3 years of the vehicle's life, however you will need to get an SVA done, which is basically an MOT that is good for 3 years. They need to make sure you do the light conversion right and all that. They will test your emissions so they can put you in a tax bracket.

Camaro_H, I am from New Mexico and have been in the UK for a couple years now. There are a handful of Camaros around the US Military installations, but less than 6 I believe. Petrol prices are pretty rough over here, currently around 1.30/litre....fortunately for us, US Military can purchase petrol on base for about $1.10/litre.
