I haven't driven a new one obviously, but I will say that the V6 should be running 0-60 in around 5.9 seconds and the 1/4 mile in the low 14's at around 95-98mph I am guessing.

An Lt1 depending on transmission and gears (2.73 and 3.23 in auto, 3.42 in the 6 speed) should average 13.9-14.3 at around 95-100mph on average if it is running good, with 0-60 times in the 5.5 second area.

That said.. the V6 should be very similar in performance numbers to the AVERAGE STOCK LT1 car, however as for performance "feel" if you go from your LT1 to the V6 it is not going to "feel" as fast, being the amount of torque the LT1 produces at low RPM's gives it that raw power feel, whereas the V6 in the new camaro will be a smooth, high revving engine with most of its power at high rpms.

So in the overall "feel" of the new V6 camaro's performance compared to an LT1 I can say my guess is that the LT1 is going to feel more powerful...which it is across the power curve especially in torque...but when it comes down to it they will both run similar times at the track so their "Actual" peformance will be quite similar.

I have owned 2 LT1 camaro's and an LS1 Trans Am.. and right now even I would consider a 2LT RS Camaro for the refinement, handling, comfort, style, etc....... The new camaro is going to be ahead of all previous camaro's in every aspect, so it just comes down to V6 or V8 which equates to a matter of what you want to use the car for, how much you want to spend and whether you want to run low 14's in the 1/4 mile or if you want to run low 13's high 12's in the 1/4 mile with the car right off the showroom floor.
