I've had BBK T 304 Stainless shorties on my car for over a year. Running through the stock 4 - 600 cell catted mid pipes there is a seat of the pants increase from 3,000 rpm and up. Even more so when coupled with a good CAI. The BBK shorties running through the JBA high flow 200 cell catted mid pipes I had installed at one time there was a seat of the pants increase from idle to 3,000 rpm and an even bigger increase from 3,000 rpm to 6,500. No CEL and I do not have a tune. No doubt long tubes with high flow cats will give a greater PEAK gain than shorties with high flow catted mid pipes, but the long tubes will guarantee a CEL and the need for a tune to eliminate it. If your future includes a cam, supercharger or other major power adding work, the long tubes are the way to go. If you want to retain the stock tune, CAI, high flow catted mid pipes and shorties is about as far as you can go.
