and its not a come back. its called the truth. The Z28 is NOT ready for production at this moment in time. Dont plan on seeing a Z28 for another year or two at the best. Scott has told us time and time again that GM needs to get the base and SS models out and selling before they can worry about a Z28. they have one planned, but it wont be happening for a while.

and it would be really dumb to put out a kill-all version of a car when the normal trims ain't been on the roads to see where the platform needs improvement. remember - this car was basically designed from the ground up. there will probably be a few issues that got overlooked or arise in full-scale production. these need to be resolved before they put out a car that people are paying a hefty chunk of change over the rest of them to own. if the car's gonna be faster, safety has to be more certain, and if it's more expensive, quality has to be more certain. these only come with time.
not to mention, they have no R&D money for a novelty car like this. as much as
we'd like to have a Z28, the majority of the public won't be out to get one. GM's best plan, right now, would be to sell getting the cars they have now and get back in the green.
