We used to use the old formula of every 100 lbs in weight reduction equals about a 1/10th in et for the qtr. Very basic and doesn't take aero, traction or other factors but it was always a good baseline. Assuming that, the Vette gets roughly 6/10ths on weight alone. Factor in aero, traction, driver skill, etc and you can see how a good driver can pull a full second on the Camaro. Would like to see an SS do it but it will take a lot of work into the car to pull the stock Z06. Going to work it though since I take delivery of my SS in June and my Dad has a Z06. Add the $40k difference in price to mods on the SS though and I could make the SS walk all over his Z06 in any environment.

Bottom line, love both cars and have wanted a Vette since before I got my drivers license not biased in any way. Both cars are awesome in thheir own way.
