I've heard of people picking up as much as 20 to 25 rwhp by removing the cats from a stock exhaust.
The stock cats are more restrictive than after market high flow cats.
BTW, I have been running high flow cats. The show removed them today so they could put my new electronic exhaust cutouts there (right behind the headers).
