I would certainly think the cross ram was considered stock as it could be ordered from the factory though it was delivered as a unit (cross ram intake with two Holley four barrels) in the trunk and not installed on the engine at the factory. I've always considered anything that could be ordered from the factory as stock as I'm sure most others would. I think you're really just playing a semantics game here as several of the auto magazines back in the day did "stock tests" of the cross ram dual quads.
