I did a 500"ish" break-in on the LS1 in my 04 GTO and that car still ran as strong as day one when I turned it in (Smartbuy) after 4 years and 57k miles.
One thing to keep in mind for those who have never done a break-in before. It is VERY important that the break-in occur throughout the rpm ranges. DO NOT set the car on cruise at 65 on the highway and go to the next state and back and think you accomplished anything...
