If it revs to its redline that easily does that mean it will be likely to overheat and have damage? Is it safe to drive at or pass redline? Any car I ever had never made it up there and if it was even close it would start to overheat. It's not that easy to get there when your in gear though right? It's really easy to get there in 1st and 2nd gear...
I would guess there's a rev limiter and in the worst situtation you'll just "bounce" off it like I occasionally did in my 96 gen 4...
There's just no reason to maintain those r's for any given length of time to begin with so "overheating" shouldn't even come into play...
