If it revs to its redline that easily does that mean it will be likely to overheat and have damage? Is it safe to drive at or pass redline? Any car I ever had never made it up there and if it was even close it would start to overheat. It's not that easy to get there when your in gear though right? You will not be able to go above redline because the fuel cut-off will engage at redline. The redline is set so that you do not go above the threshhold of the engine that is safe. Driving to redline should be fine, driving at redline makes no sense for it is time to shift into higher gear. Hope this helps a lil, I am sure someone will explain better than I can. GL
