Like Doc said I would take it to a shop and have some real testing done to make sure this isn't going to kill your engine over time. If it turns out it won't and the numbers you are seeing are somewhat close to real, then good job. But if you are driving long distances at a time in a V6 I would expect higher milage. Doing simple things like rolling up your windows and cruising between 60-65 mph and drafting can easily improve mgps. I would 1st do what Doc suggested to make sure the engine is safe and then see what happens after a summer of driving. Good luck.
