Indeed it is a good question. For now let's say that the SS has a newness to it and the V8 has a certain Siren Song.

But last night we went out to run some errands and we took the 1LT and it just hit me again how good that car is.

Plus the SS has some of the equipment that I would get with a 2LT RS that make it (IMO) a more attractive car. 20' wheels, leather seats, spoiler. So the choice is not just for the powertrain, it's for appearance as well.

Now all that being said, a friend from work, who owns a 69 Z28 as a reference, and is a very knowledgeable car guy.........well I thought he was going to cry from sheer joy after a test drive with the LS3 and 6 speed manual.

I stick by it. Daily driver 2LT RS. For a fun car purely for accleration handling, and pony hunting, any SS.
