Hello Everyone!
Just thought I would introduce myself as I now have my car! I've been on the forums for a while now, and wanted to send a big thank you to everyone that helped me track my car and figure out what the hell was taking so long. It took a while to get from the factory to me, but the wait was worth it. I just graduated from the University of North Florida and this was my graduation present to myself. I'm pretty sure this car will be with me for life - A Synergy Green Camaro built on St.Patrick's day, for my college graduation, and perfectly customized to me. I have gotten two major questions so far - a) Why Green? and b) Why only the v6?
a) Well, this was due in part to my love for the Synergy Green concept images, and actually seeing it in person. However, the biggest influence was the fact that the color was ending around my graduation, and even bigger, my girlfriend for the past 7 years fell in love with it.
b) First of all, you can't really say only to this car. I was one of the skeptics before I drove one ("Oh..It's only a v6..Psh!") and as soon as I tested both the 2LT and the 2SS, I was in love with how high-revving, responsive, and torquey it was. Yes, the V8 has tons of torque, but the suspension is so awesome that you can't feel it, whereas the V6 is more like my Integra in that you feel every single time you hit the accelerator. Which brings me to my next point - Coming from a 31-mpg, 140hp, 17 year-old car, I wanted to keep the balance of cornering, gas mileage, and torque. The V6 fit the bill. If I had the extra money, Would I get the SS? Maybe. But I am beyond happy with my choice.
I love this car, and driving it to work the past 2 days has been a blast. I can't wait to find out what it can fully do after the break-in (I'm on 500 miles, breaking in hard, but no power-shifting, hard take offs, etc.) and take it to the shows (First one is tomorrow, cruse-in).
