I would rather pay a bit more for the SS to off set the profit lost by them selling low end models, to me it would be worth the premium in brand and resale value. Right now the Camaro's resale value is fantastic that isnt going to be the case as the used markets starts to fill up.

If there are more v6's out there, the only market who's value will be diluted is the v6 market value. The V8 will be only by the numbers out there on the secondary market.
Truth is, there's going to be a big market out there for V6 power in this package and there's many more numbers that can be sold to a broader target market in the lower price category.
Those V6 buyers are making the SS and ZL1 much more affordable for those that are looking to pick up the SS and ZL1 models as they continue to contribute to the bottom line of GM / Chevy so they can keep making these cars. Same goes for the Cobalt, and just about all other models Chevy is making... well, except for the Volt. Volt buyers, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!? ROFL...
So ... get out there and thank a V6 buyer! They are keeping GM alive as we all are.
