Ok, I could see that as a possibility, but if that's the case, let me ask you this. Why bother with the rail at all? It is about 320 miles from Nashville to Dayton. It is about 490 miles from Oshawa to Dayton. Why pay CSX at all, and have them messing with it for 2.5 weeks? Why not just put it on a truck straight from the factory, and drive it down here? I have to believe that the train shipment cost more than the extra 170 miles of truck time.
It is what it is, especially at this point. It just bothers me because I expect that GM is wasting a lot of money and causing customers a lot of frustration in the Great Lakes / Central United States region because of poor logistics and order management procedures.
Like I said in my last post, at this point, I'm just hoping she gets here by next week.
