How to install AAC halos AND keep the OEM halo functional

In short. I am a big fan of freeware and sharing things. What can I say, my dad taught me well when I was a kid. So, today I did a dual halo install for member FED728 and I thought "hey I bet I can do this so he keeps the stock halo function."

This is an overview of the black piece that sits behind the OEM halo. As you can see it is not in the headlight currently. We removed it to install AAC's dual halos. We also removed it so that we could cut a few pieces of it off. Looking at the top of the pic you will see that we marred up the finish a little bit. That is because we sanded/dremeled off the bottom part of that piece. The stock part has a little lip there that protrudes out, Frank and I got rid of that piece allowing for the AAC halo to sit right behind the OEM halo.

I have some very fun (and narrated) videos explaining this further. But youtube is currently being dumb and not letting me upload so they will have to wait. *If someone else wants to upload them to youtube and post them I will be happy to email them to you. Just PM me*

One last thing. The reason I did this, and am making this post, is because I feel that knowledge should be shared. No matter how it came about. I was more than happy to (actually I was excited a bit too) to take the time to figure this out, and even happier to post the explanation of how to do so here on Camaro5. The reason so many people are able to do all the cool mods that we love to do is because of the DIY section on this forum and the members who take the time to post instructions.
