When you used it...How did you like it to what you use now? Can you tell any difference between oil changes?

I didn't do any actual testing. I did try a lot of different oils in my Impala SS and the one that really stood out was Royal Purple. I did a lot of scanning and monitoring with that car. The day after putting RP in, I noticed my operating engine temps stayed lower than normal and gas mileage when up 3 mpg (hiway). I make the same 60 mile round trip each day and the weather was nearly identical. I was quite impressed. But a couple thousand miles after switching to RP, I switch to a different aftermarket cam. The damage on the cam lobes was excessive. Even the engine builder, familar with my car said he'd not seen anything like that. I highly doubt it was the oil, but none the less, I've been afraid to go back.
From strictly an end user point of view, Amsoil it's just oil to me.
