The first Camaro shot was taken on the west side of Stevenson Road in the GenAuto Shippers lot. Once the cars get here, they are loaded on trucks and trains for shipment. That's the west end of the truck plant in the background. I worked there for 23 years. The tradesmen that I know who work on the Camaro project tell me that they are building fewer than 100 a day. I guess they are making double sure that everything is right with these cars. The assembly line workers were called back the first week of November and this is the slowest startup that I have ever seen. The money has all been spent so they had better get these cars out fast. I'm still waiting for one with a 427.
