I too thought this was something I did until it did it again the next day. The odd thing is it never does it when the transmission is warm, only when it's cold. Also I have tried double shifting prior to going into second to see if that will help and it does not. This problem is very aggravating as the dealer was also unable to duplicate the problem and not willing to do a fluid sample to check for shavings. This problem does not always occur when the transmission is cold, sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not. Has anyone been able to get a good fix from the dealer?

I have the same problem, I'll occasionally get a severe notch/grind that rocks the whole shifter and shoots up my entire arm. Feels like someones on the other end hitting it with a hammer. I put amsoil torquedrive in and it made the notchy 1-2, 2-3 shifts less severe and less frequent, and after driving around town for the day, its smooth all around. Double clutch shifting DOES make it shift like butter where otherwise notchy (I can even shift into first while going 15+mph) but only for downshifts not upshifting. I have a case number with GM and finally after visitng the 4th dealership (after driving to another state) they agreed there was a problem and they would fix it. Next week threw the torquedrive in for shits and giggles and it made it to the point where I can live with it. The week I'll be without the car while its in the shop and them crackin open my tranny isn't worth it at this point. My tranny problems seem miniscule to others I've read/seen.
From my experience and others posts, a fluid change (torquedrive, RP) will make issues less severe/frequent but it will never shift like my friend's 4banger 5speed civic that feels like you're shifting a toy videogame where you can literally redline powershift with your pinky.
