Do the same to the rear. Use an L shaped piece that extends down from the rear bumper bar just like the front except low enough to come out through the top of the diffuser. Weld a small steel block into the gap from the bottom of the bumper bar to the topside of the the actual hook bar so it can't bend forward into your bumper. That should work and look nice and clean like the front.
