CAMAROS AT CARLISLE
Registration is Still Open

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out the latest news about the GM Nationals and Camaro in particular. GM Nationals is actually one of our fastest growing shows and we certainly want that trend to continue. Camaros are a large part of that growth with about 500 registered.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet and with the popularity of the 5th generation Camaro, we have all new Camaro classes for 2011 and some new awards (detailed below).

We invite ALL Camaro clubs and enthusiasts to join us for a weekend of entertainment and activities. We will continue to work with our friends and industry professionals representing manufacturers, aftermarket suppliers, sponsors, electronic media, print magazines and participants associated within the hobby who have pledged to support the GM Nationals to bring you the very best event possible. The Camaro classes are now posted below along with our updated Judging Guidelines.

Vintage Certification Program
Legend and Elite Classes to be Certified
Vintage…it’s good for wine and better for a car. This summer we’re continuing two great Vintage classes, Vintage Legend and Vintage Elite. Legend focuses on the unrestored Camaro, Chevelle and Nova. This program provides status, recognition, provenance and appreciation to unrestored vehicles. The certification team provides each owner with a detailed listing of our findings in a comprehensive report. Elite focuses on the restored Camaro, Chevelle and Nova. This program encourages hobbyists and restorers to use factory processes, finishes and standards when restoring vehicles. Components, finishes and assemblies that deviate from factory standards will be noted as such in a comprehensive certification report. The certification judges include Brett Merryman, Steve Shauger, Chris White, Jeff Dotterer, Brian Henderson and others, who collectively have over 125 years of experience as restorers, historians and collectors. The continued commitment to the GM Nationals continues as the Concours judging program has participated at the Carlisle GM Nationals since 1999 and are excited about 2011 and expanded offerings. We look forward to seeing everyone at Carlisle, so stop by building Y and say hello and check out the fine collection of vintage cars assembled for certification.

To get certified, e-mail vintagecert@optimum.net or contact Steve Shauger at 631-514-9765 for all the info. This is just ANOTHER reason to be part of the fun this summer in Carlisle.
