I want to say that somewhere in these threads Scott S. actually said that because of the skip shift the camaro would NOT get the GG tax. I really don't care so I am not going to search for it. For whatever reason, the camaro does not get the guzzler tax. By the way, great looking Z06! That will be my next car if we never see a Z28 camaro.
I think that was the reason why the 08 and earlier C6 avoided the tax, but in 09 I think they changed the mileage threshold. I guess the government didn't appreciate the marketing blurb on the Z06 website that it was the only 500+ hp vehicle to avoid the tax .
