Every single one of those is authorized by Ford Motor Company.
I also failed to answer your point about heritage. You're right that some models have a long history. Take the GT500 and GT models. They haven't really moved much.
However, we can't forget about classics, like the SVT Cobra, that are no longer part of the lineup. When the Cobra was on the lot, other models were notably absent. It suggests that Ford decided to, rather than continuing a tradition that would only come back later, change its branding and offer a different name.
Basically, Chevrolet kept certain products in certain places. A Z28 was always a Z28. They never called it a Camaro Panther. Ford would replace one model with another model that held the same place with a different name. For enthusiasts, that's both confusing and redundant.
