I don't have a tune on my SS so I have no idea if this is true or not, however, if it wasn't for the rev limiter on my car I would have red lined it big time, one time. I was turning and I floored it and the tires just started spinning until I hit the red line and it was like someone shut the engine off for like 1/2 second. I no longer turn off my traction control so I'm sure not to pull that stupid mistake again.
Everyone felt awful for you in Oshawa, including myself. :( I just wanted to know if the engine blew under normal driving circumstances or if you were getting on the gas pedal when it happened.

No worries...sometimes it's easy to misread what you're trying to say via a message on a forum.
The tune doesn't turn off traction control or stabiltrack...those can only be turned off via the button inside the car. The top end limiter was moved up, and the rev limiter was bumped up a couple of hundred RPMs which is pretty standard with cam swaps due to better springs being used.
I would consider how it blew normal for a Camaro....I rolled out from the light in first gear and hammered it....shifted @ 6200 like I have done thousands of times before.
I'll get to the bottom of it....and no hard feelings...I get what you were asking now.
