I had it on my Vette and as mentioned above it eliminates or helps to eliminate the gas guzzler tax so we should all be thankful they have included it on the Camaro.
Second, it is a breeze to defeat and literally takes just a few minutes to install the "override" and it is undetectable. Even if they figure out that you defeated it, they should care less and it would never effect the function of the trans or could be faulted for causing a failure.
