The Boston Acoustics tabs are easy to remove. When you have the door panels, look on the backside of the grill and you'll see two paperclip thick wires coming through. Carefully straighten them, and then flip back around. Using a mini screw driver just carefully work the tab straight out. There is a tiny bit of glue left behind which a fingernail can easily remove. Done! Clean grills.
Or, do what I did... Grab some Gel SuperGlue, pull the badges from your Focal or Hertz (or whatever) and glue them where the BA tab was. Looks pro and only another Camaro owner will catch the switch (but you can smile everytime you see it). Mine say "Hertz" now and it looks perfect in the BA's old spot.
For the cross over, I put mine in the car's door panel. You're double protected against moisture there and there's a ton of room. On the bottom, farthest from the door hinge, inside of the panel is a little strip of insulation taped to the door panel. You can lift it up and tuck it under, and then run your wires up the factory wire channel for your "mood lights" whch run across the door. Wrap electrical tape around 3 sets of wires (1 in, 2 out) and tie wrap wire bundle to to the wiring channel. PRO! WINNING, now go drink Tiger's Blood and repeat on the other door.
