End users don't care about the technicality of warranty - especially when it puts you out and you spent the money. The shop you ordered from should take care of it for you, and then they should also rain hell down on Vararam for poor production.

As for my intake? I sure as heck hope that QC was done on my unit before I receive it in the next couple of weeks.

I agree with your logic and I do believe thats how a situation like this should be handled but apparently Vararam has asked the venders to have customers go through them for warrantly claims.
I will say MarylandSpeed went ahead and issued me a call tag to return the intake right away and they shipped the same day the order was placed. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone.
