I really am starting to get a bit tired of the "dealers are going mark up the ZL1 X dollars" posts. Some dealers may, in fact, put a mark up on a ZL1 window sticker. However, no one needs to the pay any dealer mark up on a ZL1 in order to purchase a ZL1.

Chevrolet has indicated that the ZL1 will not be a limited production vehicle, and, therefore, there will be a plentiful supply of ZL1s for all who want to purchase one at MSRP.

As long as one is willing to have a little patience and is willing to perform a little diligence, there is no reason why anyone should pay any dealer mark up on a ZL1.

A dealer can "mark up" a ZL1 as much as it wants to mark it up, but that doesn't mean that anyone has to pay the dealer mark up on a ZL1. There are more than enough dealers who will be willing to sell the ZL1 at MSRP. The dealers that try to sell above MSRP will either not have any ZL1 orders placed or they will have spec vehicles sit un-purchased on their lots.

For example, all one has to do is look at the 2011 Indy 500 Pace Cars. There were only 500 2011 Indy Pace Cars produced, a truly limited number (unlike the unlimited ZL1), and those vehicles were readily available at MSRP.

So, can we please stop with the ZL1 dealer mark up posts?
