With the SS your gonna want super if you can afford it. V6 probably will run great on the cheap stuff. Just my 2c.

its a ROUGH guide. and as ive said repeatedly. the car WILL run on regular. wont run its best. but it will run. with pcm's on these cars like they are, they can pull timing, change fuel pulse width, and numerous other things to compensate for preignition.
I know plenty of people who run 87 in their 10.5:1 cr lt1s and dont have problems (till summertime), but they also have put their cars on the dyno and at the track and have recorded lower power and slower times.
key point of all this.
RUN WHATEVER YOU WANT.
I'd prefer you run what is recommended for the motor or higher. but whatever, its not my car. but if you are penny pinching at the pump, you deserve engine knock
