Well, 5 does make sense if you take into account that in the camo'd spy shots there are 3 parked in a row in one image, then 2 others parked beside the Mustangs. My guess would be they were all in the same parking lot at that time the pics were snapped.
Just because the one shot of them on the road only showed 3 doesn't mean there weren't more. The range would have been limited for the camera to catch all 5 if they were in a row.
