OK, not a Z topic.

Most of you know I moved Pedders and the family to Texas on May 16th. I learned you never move a business and your family at the same time. Mom and Dad have lived with us for a bit more than 15 years. We lost Mom three years ago. Dad will be 94 on Monday. We had Dad stay at my sister's for two weeks while we got the house squared away. Dad comes down June 1st and breaks his femur on June 3rd. We spent the first two weeks setting up shop and home. Dad comes down and we end up spending the rest of our time in Texas at three different hospitals from the ER to ICU to Acute rehab with the broken leg, pneumonia, kidney failure, heart attack and a couple of other infections. Dad is a Depression era kid that made it through WWII. He is a genuine tough guy like many from his generation and refuses to give in. Two weeks ago my wife trips over her own shoes falls and breaks her finger. Back to the ER at 10 at night. We have more friends in Texas at the hospitals than any where else. I am not joking. They no us when we walk in the door on all three shifts. Tonight we go to a BBQ at a ta da... doctors house. Dad is doing well. Night out. No cooking. No worries. The kids are in the pool. Yep. My oldest does a number on her foot. At least we were at the doctor and didn't have to go any where. Some where in this story is a joke. I am just not sure how to write the punchline. In the end, Deb's hand will be fine. My daughters foot will heal. Dad is doing better and actually moves around a bit in his wheel chair. We expect him to up up and walking in the next month with a walker.

I swear I am going to sit down one night, have a few drinks, a really good cigar and not have a single drama for 24 hours, even if I have to wait for CamaroFEST III Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger Everything is calm. I am going to bed before we have another drama
