I've been lurking and taking in all the different solutions. IMHO some are adequate and one is questionable ( different material bolt ). I prefer the original location of the catch can and felt the original mounting method just needed some additional bracing which I felt when I first installed the CC over a year ago. I made up a small bracket out of 1/16" thick aluminum angle stock, a 3/4" insulated clamp and a SS button head bolt and nylon lock nut. As you can see the bracket mounts to the top thermostat housing bolt which is directly below the Elite supplied aluminum shaft stand off the CC mounts to. The installation is solid in all axis now so I'm confident this bracing will make the original mounting method bullet proof.
