So was I. It doesn't. Works like a champ. The squashed critters wipe right off, no harm no foul. Had heard this on a few detailing forums. Thought they were nuts until I tried it myself. Now, the front is the last thing I wash. Dip in water bucket, wipe down, wash as per normal to remove the dryer sheet "stuff" and then presto!
Agree with the posters above, a lot of coats of wax and removing them ASAP is the best hing.
