Absolutely not. I even called them out on it and they told me that wasn't the case... so it seems that they flat out lied to me (because we all know that's most likely what happened.)
The only response I ever got from them every time I called was something along the lines of "the car is still in Oshawa, and no further updates are available. Work closely with your dealer as they get the first updates." I heard that line three or four times.
Once they also tried telling me that the wait was due to the fact that they were making sure I would get the "quality vehicle I was expecting when I placed the order" which is complete crap. Even if the car went to a QC check theres no way it would take this long... and they would've been able to tell me if that's what was going on, which I would've understood and cut them some slack.
No, this car is sitting in a parking lot because they don't want to spend an extra couple hundred bucks to ship a rail car that's not full... but nobody would admit it. So they lost a sale and at least one customer. I personally will never buy a Chevrolet, and most of my friends/family have seen this horror story unfold first-hand over the past 4 months so I guarantee they'll think twice about buying a Chevy as well.
Just really a shame that it had to end this way. Not good for me, not good for them.
