A good dyno tune should fix this. I have a feeling the summer heat is messing with the tuning (pulling timing or something).
My car ran 12.9 @ 108/109 mph (70 degree weather) tune only. That same day, a Challenger R/T was running almost a full second slower than me with no spin launches.
Also, don't give up on your L99 A6.
An intake, full exhaust, and good tune = low to mid 12s @ 112 -113 mph in decent weather.
